Complete Herbalist's Perspective on Immune Support

COMPLETE HERBALIST'S PERSPECTIVE on
People Boost Immune Support

people boost immune support
Although Herbal Energetics has developed many successful formulas to aid those if they get sick, taking care to stay well is always the best choice. This Immune Support formula is filled with potent herbs and helpers to do just that. It is designed to help you take charge of you own health and feel empowered to do so.

Herbs in the Immune Support formula:

Astragalus:
One of the most important herbs for boosting the immune system that I know. It actually builds resistance to colds and flus and other externally contracted diseases. Not only that, but it also helps with exhaustion, poor digestion, and metabolism, weakness, shortness of breath, prolapsed organs, and it tonifies the blood. It strengthens chronically weak lungs, reduces deficiency edema, heals wounds and is used for UTI’s. It is a major herb used for cancer. It protects the adrenal cortical function esp. useful in chemotherapy. It decreases bone marrow suppression, increases white blood count, lessens chemotherapy and radiation side effects and inhibits the spread of tumors.

Chaga Mushroom:
One of nature’s oldest medicinal herbs, called by some the “Medicinal King of Herbs” has been used in Russia since the 16th century for a wide variety of ailments, including cancer. It contains over 215 phytonutrients with one of the highest ORAC values at almost 60,000 (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) meaning one of the highest substances on the antioxidant scale. It is recommended that we consume at least 7,000 ORAC daily to help lower the risk of cancer and other immune dysfunctions. It is also one of the highest sources of vitamin Bs on earth. Chaga contains a full spectrum of immune stimulating phytochemicals, including 20% beta glucan, which has the ability to activate the immune system without over stimulating it. It also stands out in clinical trials to inhibit the growth of tumors. Chaga grows on birch trees and draws its nutrients from them, one being betulinic acid which is being studied as a chemotherapeutic agent. It has also been shown to reduce stress, and fatigue, improve sleep, resist disease, regulate nerves and muscles, enhance mental clarity, and aid with digestive problems.

Burdock Root: A good blood, liver, kidney and lymphatic cleanser, thus important for immune health. Clears heat, infections, and inflammations, benefits arthritis, and rheumatism. It is also used for stimulating digestion, calming liver related restlessness, some cancers, mastitis, and skin conditions.

Siberian Ginseng (Eleuthero): An important adaptogenic herb that helps the body adapt to and withstand stress more effectively, increasing overall health, energy, endurance and concentration. It enhances oxygen metabolism in the tissues and organs, strengthens digestion, and the kidneys, supports adrenal function, helps alleviate chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction, and enhances overall resistance to disease.

Japanese Knotweed: A newly introduced herb, high in resveratrol (which is also found in red grapes to a lesser degree) with a significant amount of antioxidant power. It has a multitude of health benefits and improves overall health, protecting the body from health related conditions, mainly those from modern day living. Benefits include boosting the immune system, reducing inflammation, increasing liver and hearth health, reducing HDL cholesterol, improving circulation, regulating blood sugar, balancing hormones, promoting longevity, weight loss, and promoting skin tone.

Ginger Root: Widely used all over the world for its multitude of healing properties, ginger is commonly used as a digestive aid and for its warming and stimulating energy. It is a strong anti-inflammatory and useful for colds and flu and other conditions of congestion as well as for cramps, pains and spasms, diarrhea and general coldness. It is used in many formulas to enhance the workings of other herbs.

Hawthorne Berries: A strong cardiac tonic used for both emotional and physical heart issues. It increases oxygen uptake, stimulates circulation, regulates blood pressure and irregular heart beats, reduces blood lipids and cholesterol, strengthens the heart muscle, and helps maintain a healthy heart, veins and arteries. When the heart is in balance, the mind can rest. That being the case, the body can then move into a state of wellness. In this formula it is also used, as the Chinese use it, to aid in digestion and assimilation.

Milk Thistle Seeds: Protects the liver from chemicals and other toxins, increases the resistance of the membranes against negative influences and regenerates the liver. It aids most all liver conditions. It is specific for congestion and inflammation of the liver, gallbladder, spleen and kidneys and is an antioxidant. A healthy liver is able to resist disease more effectively.

Orange Peel: Very high in vitamin C and bioflavinoides, this is also used in Chinese formulas for “stagnant stomach chi”, thus aiding and regulating digestion.

Rose Hips: One of the best natural sources of vitamin C, helping the body’s defenses against infections. They also help relieve exhaustion and mild gallbladder, kidney and bladder conditions.

Tulsi/Holy Basil: Imbued with healing powers, this herb is considered India’s ”Queen of Herbs” and has been used for 5,000 years. As an adaptogen, it supports the body’s immune system and promotes and maintains wellness. Referred to by herbalists as a rejuvenative herb, qi tonic, and a restorative herb, it helps the body adapt to environmental, physical and emotional stressors, support normal functions, and restore balance.

Wood Betony: Feeds, calms and strengthens the central nervous system. It helps one to be grounded, relieves gastrointestinal irritability and aids cerebral circulation.

Other Recommendations for Wellness:
Take probiotics on a regular basis. Probiotics increase health-enhancing intestinal bacteria and serve to prevent the overgrowth of potentially harmful bacteria in the gut. The gastrointestinal tract is a major part of the immune sysyem. The surface area of the digestive tract is approximately the size of a football field! As such, the immune system must work hard to prevent pathogens from entering into blood and lymph. A low ph (ranging from 1 to 4) in the stomach kills many harmful microorganisms that enter it. Some people my need additional stomach acid to achieve this state. This can be obtained with Bitters Formulas or HCL.

Other factors in the GI tract help with immune function as well, including enzymes in the saliva and bile. Additional enzymes may also be helpful. Vitamin D3 is also essential for immune health as well as for overall health and wellbeing. 5,000 units daily are recommended by many. This cannot be over emphasised.

In these ways it aids the body in maintaining wellness.

The Swine Flu Vaccine is Constantly on the News.

Carolyn Kelley, Herbalist and Facilitator of the Journey, Suggests a Refocus.

invitation

This present flu situation is a man made “crisis”. The belief in its “reality” shows us yet again just how far we have strayed from our selves, our inner knowing. Whether we are aware of it or not, we are deeply connected to Nature and natural ways of healing. We fall away from natural things because of our endless focus on external events that keep us away from ourselves and what is true and real. When we stop and think and really look at facts, we begin to see a larger picture and another perspective. Fear and negativity sell news. Vaccines make billions of dollars for pharmaceutical companies and cause more harm than good. The real crisis is distorted views, misinformation and our belief in it!

invitation

The more drugs we consume and chemicals we dump into our water, air, and food, the less we feel connected to the ground of our being. This disconnect affects every part of our health: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. We feel unsure, alienated from ourselves and others, alone, scared, and desperate. As a result we lose ourselves and look outside for answers. We turn to “experts” for help, believing vaccines will “protect” us from the enemy. The evidence is to the contrary. Immunity is built into our bodies. It does not come from vaccines. It is enhanced by good food and water, exercise, and healthy life styles. How can we possibly think that injecting poisonous vaccines into our bodies can be anything but destructive?

Take a good look at the Earth, our practices of pesticide use and the hundreds of other chemicals that assault our environment, our food, water and air and our bodies every day. These are irresponsible practices. We disregard our plants, our herbs (the world’s oldest healing tradition still in place today all over the world), erroneously thinking that modern medicine and modern technology have the better answers.

Pharmaceuticals control conditions and mask symptoms. Herbs heal.

Inoculations are not the answer. They are part of the problem as are many drugs. The US spends more money on disease than any nation and yet we are one of the sickest nations on Earth. Our blood is teeming with toxins. Children receive 36 vaccinations before school age! The alarming increase in the rate of chronic as well as acute diseases and dysfunctions, including ADHD, cancer, autism, depression, and hypothyroidism is in direct relationship to these poisonous practices. The results are cumulative, sometimes slow and subtle, seeming to have “no known cause”. Yet, there is an alarming increase in the rate of un-wellness, depression, fear, exhaustion, pain, and sickness today. The third and fourth causes of death in this country are doctor prescribed drugs and inappropriate use of drugs by doctors. 100,000 deaths a year! Is that not a crisis? Ask yourself why that is not on the news. We are destructing ourselves!

Louis Pasteur developed the “germ theory,” theorizing that germs were the enemy that created sickness. It gave birth to the pharmaceutical industry. On his death bed he reversed this theory, saying that tropism was the issue. In other words, the internal environment of the body, when weak and stressed, creates an opportunity for germs to proliferate. Therefore, we have made germs the enemy rather than seeing that germs thrive on unhealthy cells in a stressed body. Modern medicine still practices from the standpoint of Pasteur’s old belief, attempting to combat germs, even though new science and quantum physics have long since proven the opposite. Most doctors are well meaning, but not trained in new thinking. They are often overly influenced by the powerful pharmaceutical industry.

Focusing on disease creates more disease. Focusing on wellness increases wellness! Medicine focuses on disease. Treating the external environment as the enemy makes people victims. It is well documented by new science that our thinking is a creative act. In other words, what we believe and focus on the most becomes our reality. The comic strip character Pogo once stated, “we have found the enemy and it is us!” It is us that needs to change, our attitudes, our beliefs, and our practices. We need to focus on wellness. We can and must take responsibility for our lives, our health. Be informed, proactive. Make conscious, responsible, healthy choices and seek and practice healthy wellness care. Avoid being taken in by profit driven pharmaceutical propaganda, and mass media capitalization of swine flu fear. Fear can only control us if we give it the power to do so. There is evidence that the swine flu was created, not a naturally occurring germ. Think about that! And think of the amount of money that the pharmaceutical industry stands to gain from this and other vaccines and drugs. Billions! What is the motivation behind it all? Your wellbeing?? Think again.

So here we stand between disease and wellness; between looking for experts for the answers and trusting our inner knowing. Walk among the plants. Feel the peace there, the beauty.

invitation

Feel the Earth’s healing power. Enter that realm of magic. It soon will be our everyday reality and you can help that to emerge! See it happening! Believe that it can and that you can be a part of it. Sing a song of gratitude in your heart for the gifts that have always been here, all around us. As we wake to their reality we will feel their powerful gifts. Embrace the gifts. They are real and true. We really are part of this beautiful world of Nature and she will heal us when we truly ask.

Safe Sun Exposure Actually Reduces the Risk of Skin Cancer

More About the Sun, Vitamin D3 and Antioxidants
natural radiance protection lotion
Now, the sun is healthy for us all. Safe sun exposure actually reduces the risk of skin cancer! We couldn't live without it! Our ancestors lived and worked out doors in the sun for centuries, without a thought.

Today we are fearfully cautioned by "experts" about too much sun exposure. Think about what happens when crops don't get enough sun. They don't thrive. The same happens to us! The key is to be sensible and get sun exposure without sun burn. Since everyone is different, the right amount of sun exposure will vary from person to person. When the skin is slightly pink, it is time to cover up or get out of the sun. As we tan the amount of sun exposure can increase.

Ultraviolet light from the sun comes in two main wavelengths. UVA rays are present all day and even can effect us with cloud cover. They penetrate more deeply into the skin, causing more free radical damage which is very detrimental to our health. (They can increase the risk of skin cancer.) Therefore, a lotion with antioxidant protection is vitally important. UVB rays are more active during midday, and help your skin produce Vitamin D3 when the skin is exposed to the sun, providing this all important vitamin with its many health benefits.

Most commercial sunscreens block our body's production of Vitamin D almost entirely. 85% of people in this country are deficient in this necessary vitamin! Natural sunlight is the most effective way of getting enough vitamin D. In the north, especially in the winter, we can't get enough sunlight on our skin and this contributes to chronic disease. Safe tanning and Vitamin D3 supplementation are ways to correct this situation. Naturopaths are recommending 5000 iu's a day for healthy people! Here is a partial list of the importance of vitamin D3: Cardiovascular health, healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels, immune health including protection from cancer and chronic disease, muscle strength, kidney function, healthy bones and teeth.

Internal antioxidants are also very important to protect your body. Drink organic antioxidant beverages like Red Rooibos Tea and Green and White teas as well as sugar free fruit drinks with blueberries, cranberries, cherries and grapes. They must be organic and sugar free to have a positive affect.

Also eat organic foods and herbs with high antioxidant activity. Some herbs include parsley, turmeric, rose hips and rosemary. Eat foods like all leafy greens, especially dark greens, sprouts, cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cabbage, beets, red peppers, onions, avocado, and colorful fruits like blueberries, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, dark grapes, cranberries, apples, plums, kiwi, and cooked elderberries.

cocoaAnd then there is chocolate! Yes chocolate, dark undutched chocolate!
Chocolate is an effective antioxidant—better than red wine or green tea. For the Love of Hot Chocolate is 81% organic dark chocolate with healthy sweeteners and free of sugar! It is delicious and you can make an amazing Chocolate Mousse dessert (here's the recipe!) with it. I add raspberries and what a treat!!

Another powerful antioxidant is Astaxanthin, which is a marine microalgae that comes from the ocean. It is yet another very powerful and effective gift from our great oceans.

Long Awaited and Requested, Now Its Here! All Natural Skin Protection

For many years I have utilized personal herbal skin care protection, and finally I am proud to present Natural Radiance Loving Care Sun Protection Lotion.

herbal skin protection

My time tested recipe has so many GOOD AND HEALTHY ingredients. The oils and butters alone include jojoba, coconut, shea butter, olive, sesame, sunflower and vitamin E. Tropical oils have natural sun protective qualities as part of their wonderful properties. In addition, it contains ascorbic acid, vitamin c, and aloe! Vitamin C is in itself a sun protector and aloe sooths the skin, keeping it soft and supple.

There are fourteen (yes 14) herbs contained in this loving care sun lotion, added for their amazing healing properties, including being antioxidant rich, which is important and necessary for sun protection. Rooibos itself has 50 times the antioxidant power of green tea!

UVA and UVB Rays
Most sunscreens on the market actually keep out healthy UVB rays and let in unhealthy UVA rays!! This lotion actually allows in the healthy UVB sun rays and supports vitamin D3 production which is vital for our health.

You can purchase it on-line or find it in your local organic market soon if not already! Safe for children & adults.

Please feel free to tell me what you think about this latest creation from In Joy Organics!

Are There Simple Ways to Heal Complex Issues ?... Asparagus Every Day! Hope for Cancer Patients

ASPARAGUS & CANCER

There is much talk today about the importance of vegetables in our diet. People groan at the thought of 5 or more servings a day. But what if you could have the vegetables you really like, like asparagus??

This article was recently sent to me. And as an herbalist who deals with cancer patients, among many other conditions of the modern day world, I was delighted to find this hopeful report. There are many wonderful healing herbs that I use to assist people on their journeys. I always encourage a healthy diet full of veggies as part of the healing process as well.

Being able to tell people about this information on asparagus brings hope, which in itself, is healing. It is easy to recommend something as delicious as asparagus. Perhaps it is partly the glutathione or the protein histones, but it is likely the whole yummy vegetable, created perfectly as it is. And it isn't regulated by any agency, just a simple delicious vegetable! Perhaps it can help someone you love find health. Oh, and it is said to be good for kidney stones. I bet we will find many other health benefits along the way. Here's to health! I'm off to have asparagus with my dinner!

The Wonder of Life, It Sounds Like Magic and In a Sense It Is.

Without thinking, we just assume that the world we live in is the world. However, there are many realities, many worlds, within this world. Reality is actually dependent on one's belief system. Whatever you believe will dictate you reality and your experiences.

For instance, if you feel fear, inside, even unconscious fear, you will find things in the outer world that substantiate your fears. The same with anger, lack, confusion, sadness.... On the other hand when you feel joy or love that too will manifest in the outer world!

This sounds like magic and in a sense it is.
It is how it works here on Planet Earth.

We are just coming to realize this as new science is substantiating the fact that thoughts, words and feelings actually create! This means that whatever you say, pay attention to, or feel, will increase.

Now, think about that when you watch the news. Be undaunted by it or it will keep you trapped in its reality and actually increase its power! You, yes you...we each individually, have power to change our reality. The more we focus on positive events in our lives and in the world, the more we promote harmony, peace, love...

What is your purpose? What is my purpose?

Find the Wonder of Life every day. Live in that space. Focus on what makes you happy, feel alive and well. Once you get this, really get it, you will no longer feel the need to fix anything, yourself or the world; or work on it, fret over it, or even understand it, all of which strengthens and prolongs the negative!!

Wow, what a thought.

It is very freeing. It is moving to the vibration where all is well. That is possible, even when the outer world will try to tell and show you differently. So turn within. Feel your own rhythm, feel the rhythm of the earth. Resonate with these vibrations, the essence of life. Focus on the wonder in the trees coming alive again in spring, the wonder of chocolate, the wonder of a loving embrace, the wonder of a child's laugh. Find the love, the peace, the stillness. Embrace the Wonder of Life. Affirm it, feel it, focus on it, live it. It will direct you toward positive action. It will change you life. It is where the magic happens, things beyond our wildest imaginations!!

Carolyn

A Prosperity Blessing I Want to Pass On to You

A slightly different version of this blesssing was sent to me awhile ago. I read it often to myself and find it very soothing and uplifting. I give it to friends and clients when they come by, and now, I want to pass it on to YOU.

A Prosperity Blessing

May you be blessed with an amazingly abundant day today.

May the clouds break and the heavens pour down upon you more joy, more love, more laughter and more money than you could have ever dreamed of.

May the sun shine its golden light of prosperity and health through every cell of your extraordinary body.

May you be cleansed today of any resistance or feelings of unworthiness that you may be holding onto.

May your false illusions of doubt, fear, and scarsity gently fall away like soft white feathers on a gentle breeze.

May you be willing, simply willing to allow the Universe to shower you with miracles today.

May the Angels wrap you in their shining wings with gentle softness and peace.

May the fairies deliver you to their pots of gold at the end of a majestic rainbow.

May your eyes shine with the glorious truth of who you really are and may that truth uplift others in your presence to their own inner knowing.

May your ears hear the sound of perfection ringing in your soul.

May you taste the deliciousness of every precious bite of life as your day unfolds moment by moment with amazing bounty of magnificant grace, and heartfelt love.

As this day ends, may you slumber wrapped in an exquisite blanket of enduring peace and feel profound gratitude.

And may the last words you feel and speak today be Thank You!

HAPPY SPRING! Get YOUR Sap Running!

Can you feel it in the air?

The sap is running and Spring is here! Warmer weather, more daylight hours, feels good doesn't it? Can you feel your body responding? Wanting to move more? It is time to clean out the winter sludge, the kidney energy in Oriental medicine, and make way for the uprising energy of spring, the liver energy.

Here are some suggestions:
Eat more lightly and eat less heavy foods. For instance, eat lots of greens of all kinds, steamed and raw. Try new varieties like mustard greens steamed with swiss chard. Add some dandelion greens too. Add vinegar or coconut oil and Sea Shakes for a tasty treat. Drink more herbal teas and add lemon. You can even make fresh parsley tea.

Stay away from sweets, dairy, breads and heavy meats. Eat fresh ocean fish. Your body may already be craving these things. It is Nature's way of being in touch with the seasons.
Herbal Energetics offers 2 cleansing ideas. Both address the liver and the kidneys and lymph as well. It is really important to do both to cleanse the whole body.

People Boost

Take Inner Scrub People Boost in the morning all spring to cleanse liver, gallbladder, kidneys, lymph, skin, and bowels and use Energy Burst People Boost during the day to increase your consumption of greens, which are both highly nutritive and cleansing. This combination will give you more energy and make you feel lighter and more alive! Another helpful way to cleanse is to use the Liver Cleanse Tea and the Kidney

Cleansing Teas

Lymph Tea together, liver in the morning and kidney Lymph in the afternoon and evening during a designated time period. Perhaps on weekends during the spring or during a 2 week period. These suggestions will help especially if you are prone to allergies. Also keep Allerfree Extract with Flower Essences handy.

aller_freesm

It is a very effective formula. Starting with it before symptoms appear can save a lot of grief.
And get outside. Breath in the wonderful fresh air. Walk, smell the spring. Celebrate the emerging of new life in the running streams and new shoots. Look for fiddleheads and bloodroot flowers,(pictured at the top of the page). They are one of the first spring flowers to greet us. Pure white, they open to the sun and come out before their bigger leaves appear as a blanket of protection from summer heat. Let your heart be gladdened by the renewal of life, feel it, be it.

Why I LOVE NOFA (Northeast Organic Farmers Association)

I again had the pleasure of connecting with this wonderful group of people at the NOFA NH Spring Conference on Saturday March 7th. They are down to earth real folks, light hearted, knowledgable, unassuming, dedicated, friendly, open, respectful, a delight to be with.

It is obvious that they love and respect the land and what they do.

You can see it in their faces; in their presence. There is a peace, an inner strength that sustains them. They focus more on what they are doing in the Natural World than the events of the manmade world.

Nature helps us do just that.
As more and more people begin gardening again (or farming or in some conscious way being out in Nature) perhaps for the very first time, they will experience the wonders of life and be sustained by that discovery not just physically, but also emotionally and spiritually.

As the sap begins to run and the plants are making their way to the light from under the earth, I feel it inside myself. Don't you? Our bodies, too, are getting ready for spring. We are all connected. We are the miracle of life and it continues!

In Joy,
Carolyn Kelley

The Magic of Herbs & The Wonders of Life...

Herbs are alive, real. They work with the body. Just think of the excitemnet of that! We are Alive Vibrant Beings. Our bodies respond to substances that are also alive.  Herbs actually respond to what we need.  They create different reactions depending on the individual needs of each person.
For instance, Hawthorne leaf and berry assist the heart, regulating blood pressure. If too high, it helps lower, if too low it helps bring it up.  How does it know how to do this?  This is one of the wonders of life.

We have a choice....we can turn to drugs.   Drugs are designed to relieve symptoms.  The focus is not on curing imbalances or disease.  Or... we can choose to work with Nature and embrace healing naturally.  The more we learn about the wonders of natural remedies...herbs, flower essences, essential oils, even healthy foods...the more empowered we will be to take charge of our own health and well being.

It is a choice. Your choice.

More on Staying Healthy: The Importance of Happy Thoughts

To stay healthy it is important to have happy thoughts, (don't ruminate about the news)... Find fun things in your life every day...Connect with people you love... Enjoy the little things like watching snow falling on the trees and admiring blue Feburary skies and drinking Hot Cocoa

Finding your own way to improve your mood creates positive thoughts and positive thoughts cause your body to function more positively and properly.

You Don't Have to Suffer with a Cold or Flu!

Stop a cold in a few hours and a flu in a day!!
snuffyReally, herbs can work that fast when used often. The key is to catch the infection at the first signs of a problem. I got over the flu last week in one day by taking Flu the Coop and Viral Resolve and Immuni-Tea about every half hour. Other people have done the same with these wonderful Extracts.

I've stopped a cold in as little as 3 hours many times by taking Stop It Cold every 15 minutes! As symptoms abate, you can take the extracts less often until all symptoms are gone. Herbs are amazingly effective when you know how to take them. They enhance our immune system rather than supressing it or taking it over as antiobiotics do. We are lead to believe that colds and flus last days or even weeks. That does not have to be true. We don't need to suffer...there are no rewards or merits to suffering...so be good to yourself and help your body be the amazing creation that it is. What it needs is your belief that it can heal, your loving attention, a little rest and assistance with healing herbs. If you haven't caught the infection at the beginning, the herbs may take longer to work, but work they will when you are consistent.

To stay well take vitamins C and D3, probiotics and lots of vegtables on a regular basis. Also drink plenty of water and tea. Immuni-Tea can be used anytime and Chai GreenTea is a delightful warming tea. Both have immune enhancing properties and are also on the web site. Fresh ginger and lemon can be added to either one.

You can access these with more detailed information on my web site: www.injoynow.com under Herbal Therapies and then Herbal Extracts with Flower Essences.

As our old friends on Sesame Street say:

"Sing, sing a song sing out loud, sing out strong...sing of good things not bad, make it happy, not sad."

Watch for my next post that will talk more about this and how our happiness is directly related to our health.

Carolyn

The Mayans Knew the Benefits of Chocolate Thousands of Years Ago

cocoa plant
We do live in challenging times, times that can be exciting and wonderful when we know how to navigate them. It is up to each of us as individuals to make our world what we want. What we think and feel will determine our experiences in life. I will write more about this as I go.

I love to share insights and bits of magic and wisdom as well as ways to make our lives more joyous, comfortable and real. I also love to learn, experience and share information about the power of herbs, foods and natural healthy living.

The Mayans & The Benefits of Chocolate
Now, chocolate IS natural and healthy.

It really does uplift our spirits, making our days more joyful. As I was drinking my organic Hot Chocolate today by my wood stove, I was thinking about how the Mayans knew the benefits of chocolate thousands of years ago. The Mayans and Aztecs treasured and consumed cacao as early as 600 B.C. Later exported to Europe, it was reserved for the wealthy for centuries. Cocoa is often referred to as "A Gift from the Gods", and likely so with all of it's health benefits!

cocoa treeHow did the Mayans know that Chocolate was a health food? They were in touch with their inner knowing, something we have, for the most part, discounted today. It is comforting to know that ancient wisdom exists and that we can and do tap into it. Consider how many people crave and consume chocolate. It really is a health food. (How good is that!!?) And perhaps it is one way that we tap into ancient wisdom that is True and Real!

When we are conscious of this latent ability, we can call it forth in present time. I will be writing more about chocolate and tapping into our inner knowing soon! For now I am ready for another cup of my organic sugar free Hot Chocolate.

Now we all can enjoy chocolate liberally without the side effects of sugar in my unique recipe.

My Hope Has Been Rekindled, Helping Obama Hold His Vision

What a remarkable week. We do live in exciting times. 38 million people watched our new President be sworn into office. I for one, had tears in my eyes and my heart felt like it would come out of my chest.

My hope has been rekindled.

Dreams can come true.
Dreams do come true!

We listened to President Obama as he called us to unity of purpose. He inspired us even as he addressed the difficult tasks ahead. Our leaders hold the energy for our nation. From our experiences of the last few years we have grown consciously as a nation. We have come to know more clearly what we need and want for ourselves and our nation and world. And... we have manifested a President to help us meet those needs and desires!

Our job now is to hold fast to our vision, our dreams, and to work together toward them with dedication and enthusiasm. This includes lending our heartfelt support and goodwill to President Obama, helping him hold his vision during challenging times ahead. The more we come together and work together, the more we will find harmony and joy every day occurrences.

To Aid Us On This Journey
To aid us on this journey there are many natural ways to "Keep the Faith". There are many helpful books and CD's to keep us on track. "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrns, "The New Earth" by Eckart Tolle, "The Superbeings" by John Randolph Price, and "The Hidden Messages in Water" by Masaru Emoto are some that I find inspiring. I am sure you have your favorites. I will share more of some of mine down the road.

Another way of staying positive is with the beautiful Essential Oil /Flower Essence Sprays on my site. They each have delightful combinations of essential oils and flower essences to create the special energy of the intention. They also have affirmations to assist you in manifestation. There is "Love Light and Laughter", "Uplifted and Confident", "Focused Contented Child", and lots of others to choose from. They all have delightful aromas and actually do work. There are several Flower Essences that I find helpful as well. Larch for self confidence is especially helpful, Mustard and Wild Rose help when we feel discouraged and the time honored SOS Rescue is great for comfort and support for anxious feelings.

May peace, love and joy be your constant companions as we move foward.

Blessings and Joy,
Carolyn

The picture of me is taken at my daughter and family's home in Hawaii, such a contrast from snowy New Hampshire.  Both beautiful places to be. I feel blessed to be able to travel to Hawaii on visits and live here in New Hampshire.
